It's '20,000 leagues under the sea' followed by dessert. Presenting
'Ithaa', the world's first under sea transparent restaurant. Located
within the Hilton Maldives Resort Spa, this underwater wonder sits five
meters below sea level in the Indian ocean and offers diners the
world's most up close and personal aquatic encounter available whilst
dining. Ithaa offers a never before seen menu which combines the
traditional cuisine of the Maldives blended with a Western edge.
Dinners begin their under sea journey by enjoying a drink on deck above
the sea surface followed by a descent down a spiral staircase leading
them to the submerged restaurant. Ithaa is constructed almost entirely
of transparent acrylic walls with crystal clear archways spanning
across the room and seats an intimate number of just 14 guests and
about 15,000 fish. |
